I don’t know what to call this, I just want to talk about Mobbed for a second (& then never again)

So, I tweeted about this last week, but I guess I’m still not over it because seeing this week’s preview (dad reunites with son via dance mob) just left me enraged.

Last week, I sat through an episode of Mobbed (a new-ish flash mob show on FOX) where Howie Mandel forced one brother to makeup with his older brother via flash mob.

As the episode began, I learned they were both in the same band, but stopped talking.

Their rift formed after the one brother (who was organizing the flash mob, and looked exactly like Eric from that 70’s Show) stole the other brother’s guitar, and sold it.

right.

So, as the plot thickened, I watched in horror as they choreographed a way for Eric from that 70’s show to tell his brother he missed him, and was sorry for stealing his belongings.

Long story short, they made up. and their reunion was all thanks to Howie Mandel, and a weird cameo from the band Everclear.

You could argue that this is my fault for sitting through the show, and that I have the power to turn it off whenever I want.

This is true.

But I guess I just want to know why this is on TV.

I love weird shows & I love reality TV (Mob Wives, Real House Wives, I’ll even watch Baseball Wives…) but this show is just too much.

It’s taking what once seemed like a beautiful act, and turning it into something that made me scream at my TV.

So I guess all I really want to know is, does anyone actually enjoy watching Mobbed?
